Today’s blog post is a long time coming… I’ve finally gotten around to writing a little bit about my California trip! Those of you who know me in person can attest that I have the greatest time visiting my uncle in LA. And for those of you who know him, you can contend that he always knows how to have fun!
Since I have so many pictures I want to share, I’m structuring this post less traditionally than I have done previously. First, I want to share one of my favorite outfits from the trip…
Don’t let the skirt fool you, this is actually a romper from Peppermayo! It comes with detachable puffy sleeves that are absolutely adorable. I love it because you get two looks for the price of one. It’s also super comfortable and the color is really gorgeous with a tan! I chose to wear my go-to Steve Madden lace-tie suede sandals because they’re effortless and very on trend.
I’ve gotten several e-mails in my inbox regarding how I curl my hair and what I use. I call my Hot Tools Wand curler ‘old faithful’ because it never fails to make my hair look fab! You can pick one up at an Ulta store near you or order it online HERE. As for the technique I use to curl, I may post a tutorial video if y’all would like!
Another fun Cali tradition is going to the Beverly Hills Hotel for lunch. This place totally fits my aesthetic: pink, green and super feminine. What more could a girl want in a place?! For lunch I ordered the smoothie bowl which was amazing. It’s pictured above and it came with apples, strawberries, bananas, raspberries, blueberries and shredded coconut! Mmm… my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
This year we attended the “Off the Menu Club” backyard BBQ. It was so much fun! Who would have thought avocado on a hot dog would’ve tasted so yummy?! I’m strictly a Chicago dog girl, but these looked almost too good to pass up! I also got to meet my childhood crush Josh Peck, from Drake and Josh, and my idol Shay Mitchell, who starred on Pretty Little Liars.
And everyone knows my trip would be incomplete without my annual stop at Wildfox on Sunset Plaza! I may be biased, but it has got to be the most gorgeous store I’ve ever been in. Seriously, if you ever are in LA, it’s worth the stop! Tell them I sent you 🙂
Finally, I just wanted to say a huge ‘thank you’ to my mom and uncle for planning such a fun vacay! I can’t wait for next time!
