Well, it’s almost here… Cinco De Mayo! I cannot contain my excitement to indulge in my favorite cuisine tomorrow: Mexican! Aside from being a fun excuse to get together with friends, May 5th is my birthday! I have been working on a post for tomorrow and I cannot wait to share it with you all.
I know it’s a little last minute to plan a fiesta for tomorrow, but I wanted to show you guys how my family and I are getting ready for the holiday. My mom, Janet, is an extremely talented hostess: she’s like a walking Pinterest board. Not only did she pretty much set this whole thing up, but she made the cutest piñata photo backdrop! We had a couple of problems with hanging it up, but eventually we got it to stay (we used 3M sticky things). My off-the-shoulder top is from Anthropologie and fits the occasion perfectly. I Love the pom-pom tassels on the front (how cute?!). I opted for some colorful espadrilles that look super cute with white jeans. The shoes also come in black if you don’t like the navy/denim color.
We’re catering from La Hacienda, my favorite Mexican restaurant in Deer Park. On the menu is tacos, cheese enchiladas, spanish rice and loads of guac (my personal fave). Of course, any fiesta would be incomplete without margaritas! Jose Cuervo is the one man who never disappoints.
Anyway, I hope y’all have a lovely Thursday and keep an eye out for my b-day post tomorrow!
