How is it Wednesday already?! I can’t believe how quickly time is flying by. I feel like it was yesterday that I was leaving chilly Chicago to be in this gorgeous weather… With only two more full days left, I find myself scrambling to cram in enough activities that I wanted to do here. Things still on my list include shopping, beaching and going for a run (ha, I’ll save that for the last day… wishful thinking 😉 ).
Today I asked my grandma Judy to tell me a joke that I can put as an intro to this new blog post. She laughed and told me she had a good one but it was a little long. I loved it so much that I just had to include it:
Three men are on a golf outing. One man’s wife calls him up and says “hey honey, on your way home can you stop at the grocery store and pick me up some eggs and milk?” The husband responds, “of course, lovely. Anything you want dear.” He hangs up and continues his golf game. Ten minutes later his wife calls back and says “hi, me again. Do you mind picking up some more butter, too?” The husband responds “yes, angel. That’s no problem.” One of the husband’s friends looks at him and asks, “how long have you and your wife been married for?” The husband responds “45 years.” The friend looks perplexed and asks, “you’ve been married to your wife for 45 years and you still call her things like lovely, angel and dear?” The husband responds, “yeah, I forgot her name.”
This one got a laugh from me. I don’t know if anyone will find it as hilarious as I do (if you do, don’t hesitate to tell me).
Anyways onto the post… I absolutely love this yellow cut-out halter romper from Free People. I wasn’t sure if I would like the style, but then I tried it on and fell in love. It’s so effortless and comfortable that I was so close to buying the exact same one in black, too. I refrained, but I am having serious buyers remorse! It’s one of the best items I’ve bought for around $100. This one is really similar too!
Hippie style is one thing that I’ll always be fussy about. However, I’ve been getting into a more flared pant style recently. My sunnies are from Wildfox, my personal fave. You can get them here. I like the oversize round frames, I think they’re so fun! The color I picked is called ‘cider.’ I found some similar styles here & here that you can snag for less $!
I gotta go, we’re getting dinner at my favorite place tonight… 🙂
