Hey there! I am going through warm weather withdrawal so I figured I’d post some of the highlights of my trip. I want to thank my wonderful father for booking us a flight 30 minutes after our initial flight was canceled. When we arrived at the airport promptly at 5:30 A.M (yes, the morning) and we were told our 7:00 flight was canceled, I was so disappointed because I had been looking forward to this mini family getaway for quite some time now. However, me being the tech savvy millennial that I am, I found a flight that was 30 minutes after our first one was scheduled to depart. Dad jumped at the opportunity and before I knew it we were in the air headed towards Ft. Myers.
Here is a quick list of some of my favorite Naples moments…
Spending time with my boys
I love college breaks because it gives me the opportunity to spend a lot more time with my brother, Kyle. He turned 21 last year and goes to Purdue. Growing up, I was always the pain-in-the-butt little sister, but he put up with it without complaint. What a gem. He is also quite the comedian.
After transferring closer to home, I got the chance to see my dad a lot more. We have become quite the dynamic duo after this past year. He’s so supportive and is the best guy I know.
Hangin’ with mama
We’re practically attached at the hip. She’s not only my mother, but my friend, mentor, personal shopper, love guru, chauffeur, therapist, and so much more. The best compliment I have ever received is that I remind people of my mom.
We wouldn’t have been here without the generosity and hospitality of my wonderful grandparents. I am so fortunate to have four healthy, happy and warm-hearted grandparents. Several ago, I recall asking my grandpa Jerry (pictured above), “what’s the key to a successful marriage?” His response was priceless: “I just assume your grandma is always right.” Now that is what I call true love.
Cruisin’ around downtown Naples
Downtown Naples has so many fun experiences to offer. The restaurants are exceptional, the stores are unique and the buildings are beautiful. I love the different pastel colors and palm trees surrounding the lanscape.
To say the least, I had one shell of a time on vacation.
Hope you enjoyed this brief post, I just had to share 🙂
